Profile

My name is Sara Pierce, and this is my second year officially working at Alcoa Elementary School. I had the joy of working in the Blended Preschool last year, and this year I get to work in first grade as a paraprofessional. My husband Daniel and I are both graduates of Alcoa. We have four children Lily, Ezekiel, Malachi, and Mayme. I graduated with a  Bachelor's degree in Advertising from the University of Tennessee, and I worked in the business world for sixteen years. I'm currently pursing a Master's degree in Elementary Education with a Special Education add-on. 

My love for working with students took root when we started to grow our own family, and it really blossomed when our son Malachi was in the Blended Preschool program the first year it was available at AES. I’ve had the joy of working with children in many volunteer roles, and I served as the Treasurer/Bookkeeper for the PTO for two years. I have a deep respect and admiration for AES staff, and I’m beyond excited for the opportunity to officially work with the staff and students here! I love my job!
